Dogs have always been a very important part of my life. My father bred, until recently, Finnish Spitzes and Finnish Hounds so I grew up with the dogs. My first own dog was a cocker spaniel bitch Emmi (Harrow's High Emilia) and later on I kept his son, Aku. But then in 1996, I had no commitments to Finland nor dogs, and I moved to Luxembourg. The years 1996-2000 were filled with other activities but then in 2001, together with my husband Marc, we decided that it was time for the first PBGV. And we got to learn very quickly that we'd found the breed we love the most.

We live in Strassen, Luxembourg and at the moment we have 4 PBGVs: Vega (13), Moona (8), Pepper (4) and Abby (2). Our dogs are full family members and life goes on very much around them.

We love to do long walks with our dogs in the nearby forests. With Pepper I have done a lot of bloodtracking, she really enjoys using her nose. I also like to go to the shows with our girls but the last years it has been a bit less frequent. We don't sell show dogs, the time will tell if a puppy has qualifications for the shows or not.

PBGV is a busy and an active hound, so it is important for a new dog owner to know that a lot of activation is needed. For a puppy, shorter walks and free playing with some brain work is enough but later on for an adult dog, we recommend more activation: long walks, bloodtracking, hunting, obedience training etc.

We don't have puppies every year, only when we want to keep something for ourselves. This means that we are very dedicated with whom and when to breed.

We are happy and willing to tell you more about the breed either by phone, by email or by visiting us. We always invite people interested in the breed to visit us already when not having puppies. Everybody loves puppies but we want you to love the adult dogs, too!
